WESTERN CANADA
It had long been a dream of mine to visit the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver, but several other trips were higher in the
pecking order. Its time came around in Semptember 2006 after a few days in New York to watch some little tennis
knockabout called the US Open or something! I flew into Calgary from New York whereupon I traversed a clockwise
route taking in Banff, Lake Louise, Kamloops, Lytton and Vancouver, returning via Kamloops, Jasper and the spectacular
Icefields Parkway back to Lake Louise. The weather was not on my side - the area had been basking in sunshine for three
months solid...until the day of my arrival in Canada. I did get a few shots in sunlight and saw enough to confirm how
fantastic a place it is. Oh, well...better luck next time I suppose!
